I have been on four cruises. Our first one was out of New York, and it was a Canada/New England cruise. It was Royal Caribbean. You might want to check that out. You would have to go during the summer though, or it would be too cold.

I went on a great cruise 2 years ago on Princess Cruise Line. It was my favorite cruise because the food and entertainment was beyond amazing. I am from New York too and this cruise depart from Brooklyn. It is a 9 night, 10 day cruise to the eastern caribbean. Its destinations are West End, Bermuda; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Grand Turk Island. My favorite places were Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. There was a lot of shopping to do on those islands. San Juan has a lot of great stores such as coach, dooney and bourke, guess and a lot of other stores. It is beautiful on these islands. This cruise sails either on July 8th or July 17th. There is another cruise on Royal Caribbean that sails on July 2nd if you wanted to be on the ship for july 4th. Royal caribbean is nice also but the food is slightly better on Princess.
