We have cruised twice with three different families with only 1 parent present.
If there are no custody issues, then your Mom should be able to take you and your brother on a cruise without any issue. |

It's always better to have one. If you don't need it great, but you'd hate to get there and have them ask for it. The last time I took my children out of the country I had a notarized letter of permission from their father and it saved a HUGE hassle at the border. |

I would check with the U.S. Department of State that has passport and travel information. Even if they say you don't need it, I would get a notorized letter just in case. You will be going into another country and never know what might happen. I'm not trying to scare you. I just want you to be prepared. |
