Minor's on cruises, what about for 20 year olds?

Hi, I've read other questions on if minors are allowed to go on cruises. But my question is, my boyfriend and I are both 20. Are we able to take the cruise?

And if no, then he may ask his parents to go along as well. Will I still be able to go since I'm not related to them yet?

Also, I live in Las Vegas. So... quick marriage could be considered, although I'm highly against it. That was just a thought, I'm not really considering getting married just so I would be allowed to go on a cruise.

Anything will be helpful, thank you all.

The lowest minimum age requirement for any cruise line is 18.

The following cruise lines require that at least one person in each cabin is 18 or older: Cruise West, Cunard, Fred. Olsen Cruise Line, Oceania, P&O Cruises, Peter Deilmann, Regent (Radisson) Seven Seas Cruises, SeaDream, Star Clippers, and Uniworld.

The following cruise lines require that either
1) All passengers in a cabin must be 18 or older, or
2) If anyone in the cabin is younger than 18 years old, someone in the cabin must be 21 or older: Disney Cruise Line, GAP Adventures, Silversea and Viking River Cruises.

The following cruise lines require that at least one person in each cabin is 21 or older: Azamara, Celebrity, Costa (25 for March and April sailings), Crystal Cruises, Voyages of Discovery, Hurtigruten, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Seabourn Cruise Line.

The following cruise lines require that either
1) All passengers in a cabin must be 21 or older, or
2) If anyone in the cabin is younger than 21 years old, someone in the cabin must be 25 or older: Carnival, Holland America and Windstar Cruises.

One exception to these age requirements is often made for underage married couples, who as long as they are both 18 are allowed to board unaccompanied. These couples may be asked to show proof of their marriage. This exception is based on individual cruise line policy.

Your age on the date of sailing is generally considered your age for the length of the cruise.

If your boyfriends parents go on the cruise there is no problem with age and you shouldn't have a problem going as well. Have a good cruise.

It doesnt matter whether or not your related to the people your cruising with. the only rule is that ATLEAST one person in EACH room has to be 21 years of age or older.
OR...(for royal caribbean atleast) if the rooms are across the hall or next door to eachother, they will allow minors to be in a room alone.

so someone over 21 needs to be in your room or in the next room over

You definitely have to be 21 to book a cruise on any cruise line......If your boyfriends parents go, then yes, or course you can go, they are just responsible for you if anything goes wrong. 20 is a bad age for a cruise....you can't do any of the fun 18 and younger crowd can do, and you can't go into the adult nightclubs and drink either. How long until you are 21? Just wait until then to go on a cruise....you will have so much more fun.

Marriage is a bad idea.....you will be legally bound to that person in more ways then you think. And hell, you're only 20, you should be single!!

You have to be 21 to book a cruise on most the major cruise lines. I think you have to be 25 to book on Carnival.

And getting married just to go on a cruise is not a good idea.

Hey, I'm going on a Carnival cruise soon. Yes, minors are allowed, you can book it and everything as long as your 18 and have a debit/credit card. If your 20 though, a cruise won't be fun, too old for some stuff and too young to drink/gamble. Go to Mexico, you can drink there and party hard without your age getting in the way. Vegas would suck too unless you can drink, which you can't. I got married when I was 19 so I'm not one to tell you not to!
