Food in the restaurants is all included on Carnival. You do not have to eat with your parents. Of course, the drinks you are talking about are non-alcoholic drinks since you have to be 21 to drink booze.
You will have a key card that doubles as a credit card. You present the card to the server when you order a drink and sign for it. A 15% tip is automatically added in. These drinks are automatically tabbed in to your room account and it will be paid for by the credit card that set it up - your parent's card.
You can also buy a soft drink card that will give you all the soft drinks you want for one set price. This has to be purchased the first day of the cruise. |

Hi Christie..You will love the cruise..there is a lot to do for young kids and older teens. The mid age range has less to do and when we took our last cruise over thanksgiving, there were packs of preteens running around the ship, crashing into people and screaming the whole time. I am sure they were bored and had nothing better to do. You might want to check with the cruise line (on line is good) for activities for the age of your kids. If you don't think they will be entertained enough, you might need to bring some things with you. Do get the soda card...it is about $5.50 a day and if your kids like sodas, it will save you a bunch of money. Have a great time...our next cruise is on Carnival to Alaska! |

i cruised on carnival inspiration with my family, ALL food was free, coffee and juices were free. the only thing we had to pay for was soda and alcohol. my children even sat at the bar and had a soda. |

ok well i was 11 when i went on my first Carnival cruise if i wanted a drink i had to go to the bar just for a coke but u have to do that on every cruise line! For like i think $20 i got a soda fountain card if u dont have one of those ya cant get soda unless your an adult well my dad got one too sorry its for adults too so hopefully that helped HOPE U HAVE A NICE TRIP U WILL LOVE IT! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ |

all of the food is included on a cruise(breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, 24-hr pizza, room service just not the tip). juices, milk and water are also included. sodas are not included, but they have this thing called a coke card that you can buy at the beginning of the cruise, and then get unlimited sodas at any bar or restaurant on the ship. |
