Yes they can. Go ahead and set up your master account. When you get on the ship go to the Pursers desk and have them separate the young ladies accounts, then the girls can place some cash an their account and your credit card will be off the hook. If the your Niece and her friend run out of money they can just go put more on it. There really isn't alot for them to spend money on at 17. Except the ship store, arcade, and soda pop. I would advise them to bring a 2 liter of pop with them, pop on board is expensive, they can also bring pop back on board with them from the ports of call. This will save them a bunch of money.
Hope this helps, you can also get some answers to your questions at one the best groups on Yahoo, and I invite you to check it out at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cruiseaddict/ |

Carnival requires a credit card account to complete the Fun Pass. You can change it to a different account or post cash on embarkation day. If you have any questions, call the 800# on the website. |

If all three of the guests are in the same cabin, the current on-line registration system only allows you to set up accounts using the same credit card.
You have two options for the FunPass process...
- Register your niece and her guest as guests on the account WITHOUT charging privledges. There is a pull-down menu with the options.
- Register all three of the guests in the room as CASH guests and set up your accounts during the embarkation process.
Notables...the debit cards can only be used if they are tied to a checking account and with a Visa or MC logo. They do not accept ATM debit cards.

Hint for traveling with teens and those wanting to stay on a budget...set up a cash account. The pursers office will send a note to the cabin if/when you reach your spending limit and you can chose to add more money or stop spending. It is so very easy to swipe your way into a huge bill at the end of the cruise.
Also, I suggest getting the teens a soda fountain card...sodas are $1.75 plus 15% gratuity per CAN. The card allows unlimited sodas by the glass. It is about $6.00 per day. You buy the program on boarding day, usually on the Lido deck.
Also, be aware that Carnival charges your account for the tips the moment you step on board. So, be sure there is enough money in a cash account to cover the tips plus your spending money! |

they try to be as "cash-less" as possible on board so they want a credit or debit card to charge any expenses to ... while you're on the cruise, if you want to buy a drink or something, you just sign the slip ... at the end of your trip they print out everything they've charged to your account, you sign it to say that it's correct, and they debit it from the credit or debit card you've nominated ... the cruise I went on they even charged the tips to my account
be sure to check the list very carefully at the end, they made a mistake on mine |

For each cabin, you will need to provide a credit card for onboard charges. Each passenger is able to have their own credit card for their own purchases.
If you are using a travel agent, they should offer to do the online check in and answer questions for you. |
