we have been wanting to book a cruise in August of this summer. We were thinking about going to Bahamas. but stupid of us, we should have booked it much earlier then now, because they say that they are all booked. Im going with a family of 5. && i cant seem to find a good family cruise to Bahamas. can you please please help me? You could try VacationsToGo.com - it's a pretty easy site to navigate, whether or not you want to book with them. Or go to any of the "usual" travel sites: Travelocity, Expedia, etc. It is late to book for August, but there may be something available. You probably won't find any "bargains" because that's a prime time, despite being hurricane season.
A cruise going to the Bahamas - a 7-day cruise, anyway - will be going to more than just the Bahamas. It probably would only stop in the Bahamas for a few hours, although some of the cruise lines also stop at private islands in the Bahamas.

Check out travel sites such as Expedia and Travelocity (my two favorites) to try to get on last minute. Good lines to take to the Bahamas for a good price are Carnival, NCL, and Royal Caribbean.
As stated above, a seven-day cruise will go to more than just the Bahamas. It may also go to the Eastern or Western Caribbean. Both are fun trips to take. I have done both and enjoyed both of them.
It is not unsafe to go during hurricane season. However, it may be a good idea to purchase travel insurance. This will insure that you will get your money back if the cruise is cancelled because of a hurricane. It's better to pay the extra money and know you are insured. You can buy this insurance when you book your cruise.
