Please help! Which cruise sounds better? I have no idea which one to book!?

Carnival or Royal Caribbean? We want to choose the one with more activities and active people. Not the lounge around and get pampered kind.

Port choices-

With Royal Carib. - Out of Ft. Lauderdale to Key West, to Cozumel, to Belize.

With Carnival - Out of Miami to Ocho Rios Jamacia, to Grand Cayman.

With Carnival - Out of Miami to Turks, Half Moon Cay (carnivals island), to Nassau Bahamas

Which is better??!!

Both are good, but as to the small details go on line and find out what the activities are. you can also find out what the shore excusions are. what is better??????? You will have to go on each then let us know.
You can get a thousand replies and they all will be differant.
Our first was The Carnival and it was fantastic, because it was the first, since then we've been on Norwegian (never again) and Royal Carribean Royal has been excellent
Best part of cruiseing is you will have to try out several different lines
But I Know you will have fun

One important thigh here would be to know what ships (the actual ship name) you are going on. So... what are the names of the ships you are looking at?

Every cruise line has some ships that are better than others.

In any case, all of the cruises and itineraries you mentioned above are pretty good. I have been to all of them and they each have their charm.

Now, without knowing the ship name it’s a bit hard for me to tell you which one to book. But at a glance I like the Royal itinerary the best (for a fun time).

I hope this helps. Happy Cruising!

I have been to Grand Cayman, Belize, Half moon Cay, and Cozumel. I dont think Key West is anything special unless you are planning like a weekend trip. I much prefer the Caribbean. Cozumel was awesome. There are alot of stores and stands to buy things and they have Margaritaville which has a water trampoline and its so much fun. Also Cozumel has a place called Panchos backyard which has awesome, strong, margaritas. Belize we were not impressed whatsoever. Unless you book the cave tubing excursion, there is literally nothing else to do. We didnt book that excursion but we wish we would have because we ended up just going back to the ship. Which was nice in a way though because there was barely anyone at the pools. Grand Cayman was a blast too. We went swimming with the stingrays, and it is a very touristy port. They have nice beaches too and there are quite a few tours to take there. Half moon Cay I havent been to in years but I do remember it being very nice. White sandy beaches and clear water. From the looks of it, I would definately book the last one for sure. The bahamas are gorgeous and I have heard so many good things about Grand Turk. In fact, we will be booking a Carnival cruise leaving from Miami that goes to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, Puerto Rico and St. Maarten. Carnival is a BLAST. You will have an awesome time. But like I said, they each have their own nice ports. But if it were me I would do the last one!

We have been on 10 cruises and all on Royal Caribbean.
It used to be scruises for the old & rich, but they have changed 100%. no bad ships, no bad ports, on bad service.
They have activities for all ages, you will have the best time of your life. They are still #1 for a reason.

I prefer RC. I have never been to Jamaica, but all of my friends who have been there say that next time they are not getting off the boat.

If on a budget pick the cheap one ...otherwise RCCL.

Good Luck

Absolutely go with the Royal Carib one because for one there are tons of things to do on those ships and two those ports of call are awesome!!! My favorite is Belize and it was truly and awesome experience. Also lots to do in cozumel we visited senor frogs which was good and key west was fine. Also would this cruise ship happen to be the Enchantment of the seas cause if so then it would be the exact one we took and it was the best cruise we took. There was a bungee trampoline on it and it was so awesome

With Royal Carib. - Out of Ft. Lauderdale to Key West, to Cozumel, to Belize.

i was on this cruise....rccl is much better than carnival (my personal opinion not to offend carnival cruisers) the ship is kinda small but its still a great ship and they just renovated it. its got rock wall new stuff on deck and a bungee trapoline FUN lol
enjoy your cruise and i hope you have fun

i hope i helped and feel free to ask me anything else you want about cruising

some good answers above, but it also depends upon what time of year you are looking to cruise. in Feb of '08 i went to Belize and Honduras on the Norwegian Sun. it was nasty hot BUT was told that if i was to cruise in late March or there after that the mosquitos would have eaten us alive.

i went to Key West, Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman a few years back on the Costa Romantica. only bad part of the Key West port of call was that we were there at 7 AM and had to be back on ship by noon. the bars didn't open til 11 AM. i did the Dunns River Falls tour then the cabby took us to Bippy Bip's Cafe (known mainly only to the locals) for lunch. u did the Stingray City excursion in the Caymans.

Carnival (for my opinion) is more freestyle but their ships have the basics. R. Caribbean has some amazing ships with lots of things to do but they are more glamorous.

When I go to book a cruise I check their rute and the first one that you wrote it's the one that I'd take.
I've been on Cozumel and the snorkel there were great! plus you can take a tour to Tulum, mayan ruins.
We have been in Belize twice. The first one we took a tour to snorkel the second biggest coral reef in the world and the second time we took a AWESOME tour to cave tubing, if you go you have to do it!!
I've never been in key west but I think it's about beaches and see Cuba.

The second option I can only talk about Grand Cayman where I swam with sting rays, it was so cool!!!

Anyways, enjoy your trip!!!

i stay with carnival when they advertise fun ships it is true. my friends that have gone on royal caribbean all rave about food and service but felt the people tend to be more sedate. the fun comes from the people you share your time with.
