Preventing sea sickness? |
I'm going on a cruise from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas and Great Stirrup Cay island in a couple of weeks. It's a three day cruise. I went on a cruise two years ago around the islands of Hawaii, and I took dramamine but it still made me feel nauseous. I remember a lady told me to get a drink at the bar by the pool, that was water with something... it wasn't lemon, it was something weird. But if anybody has any tips, please tell me! Thanks! |

Ginger normally helps.
Ginger ale will do.
Anything with Ginger in it.
Meclizine is a little better - doesn't make you so drowsy. Remember, you have to take any pills in advance.
Once you feel nauseous - it is too late for that. |

They make these wristbands which are really good. On your wrists are the pressure points responsible for seasickness. The bands are elasticated and have a little nobble which put a slight pressure on your wrist. You won't get sea sick and you don't have to worry about feeling drowsy or anything |

You will probably be on a bigger ship so that will help. Get a script from your doctor for the patch. |

I just got back. Try Bromine. It's better than dramamine. And make sure you take 2 and do it 45 min before you sail. I just got back from Nassau, it is a great place. Go to the Atlantis Resort. They have taxi's that take you there for $4 a person per trip and use the resorts complimentary shuttles to get around, u can see the dolphin shows and every thing FREE! It's a great time. and if you plan on going out go in a group Nassau is dangerous at night and go to Club Bamboo not senior frogs. Bamboo has better service and prices. ENJOY and good luck! |
