Admiral Marie
Queen Elizabeth 2 or Queen Mary 2?
I know both ships are beautiful...but does anyone have a preference. Also, which one is the ship that makes trans-atlantic (is that the word?) voyages?
The QE2 is really only for nostalgia. It's a very old ship and will retire from service with Cunard later this year. Many people love that ship, but I'd only choose QE2 over QM2 if you have special memories of the ship and want to see her again before she leaves the fleet.
QM2 is the one doing trans-Atlantic. She is larger, more modern, and has all the "bells and whistles" -- lots of staterooms with balconies, great shopping (Hermes!) and even a planetarium.

QM2. It's newer. Newer = nicer = better
TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
If I were going to do a transAtlantic on a Cunard ship I would go on the new Queen Victoria, and my second choice would be the Queen Mary 2. But the issue of which will be decided soon because the Cunard web site indicates that the QE-2 will make its final crossings this year. So the QM-2 will be the main one for crossings and right now is scheduled to do almost all of them pretty much weekly.

The QM2 is the larger and newer of the 2. The QM2 is the one currently making the trans-Atlantic voyage on a weekly basis.
