Request Refusal: Carnival Rejects Under-21 Crowd?

The world's largest cruise line finds itself in a difficult position.to crack down on drinking, loud behavior, and partying, Carnival raised the drinking age from 18 to 21plus chaperoning. Carnival instituted a new policy, effective immediately, no one under 21 may travel unless accompanied by an adult over 25. As Eric Rivera, a Carnival marketing manager, you must respond to the inquiry of Sheryl of travel agency that features special spring-and summer break packages for college. our task, write a letter to sheryl, travel agency, send her a schedule for spring and summer caribbean cruises. tell her you will call during the week of jan 5, to help her plan special family tour packages.

I don't see a question there. Like the other poster said, Carnival's policy has been over 25 for as long as I've known.

Sheryl is a travel agent not a travel agency. And you missed the deadline by two months so I bet Sheryl has booked her people on a different line by now.

You can't possibly send a schedule of all the cruises during the spring and summer. That would be thousands of different ones plus if she works at a travel agency she already has that info. The marketing manager would have nothing to do with that, though he might send her info on special packages, like "author" cruises or "NFL" cruises. Plus if you are helping plan "family tour" then the fact that you have to be 25 to book a room shouldn't matter. I mean it's not a family tour if it's just a group of 18 year olds.

What exactly are you asking?

If I owned a cruise company, I would not want to babysit a bunch of drunk young adults either. BTW, this under 25 policy has been Carnival's policy for as long as I know. Fact is no one can travel under 21 on any cruise ship without an accompanied adult. Sorry, but those who pay good money for a cruise just don't want to see a bunch of drunks.

If the cruise ships outlawed all alcohol it would be ok with me.
I enjoy an occasional brew, but the drunken bums ruin it for everyone.
I don't understand why so many people think they can't have fun unless totally drunk.
The age limit of 21 is fair, Now all they have to do is limit it to under 20 drinks a day and maybe the rest of us can enjoy cruises as well.
