Don't laugh, but plug-in electric clocks, especially digital, don't work well on ships. The ship makes it's own power, but it's not quite exactly the same as you get at home. I don't know if the technical terms are cycles, or frequencies, but it's slightly off. You clock will not keep the proper time.
The best bet is a wind-up or battery powered clock. Be careful about using your cell phone as a clock because if you accidentally get calls or text messages, you will be charged very high fees. |

I'm not 100% sure about Majesty of the Seas but, on most cruise lines, the telephone unit also displays the time |

weird i just got off the majesty about 2 weeks ago
we had a standard cabin and did not have a clock. it was actually pretty annoying waking up at all hours of the night wondering what time it was.
some other random suggestions...
make sure you speak to someone about the view from your room, i must have asked 3 different people to make sure our window was not obscured and low and behold we were placed directly in front of a lifeboat. so charming.
if ur not a big soda drinker, DO NOT FALL FOR THE SODA PACKAGE! me and my boyfriend thought this would be a good idea since we'd be drinking alot of alcohol, and we didnt even use it until the last 2 days when we realized we hadnt used it and we tried to force ourselves to drink soda to get what we paid for. it ended up being a huge waste of money, unless you have kids with you.
they also false-advertised our room, they kept insisting we had a couch in ours and there was no such thing, not that we needed it but don't expect to get what u think ur getting. |

I have taken RCCL but I am not sure, look ont heir website at the FAQS or call....I know you can request things........No clocks in our room. But you can do a wake up call on the phone. |
