Royal Caribbean-Enchantment of the Seas in May, suggestions?

I am leaving out of Fort Lauderdale in May. My Ports of Call are Key West Florida, Cozumel Mexico, and Belize City Belize. I am possibly interested in snorkeling as well as the Mayan Ruins. What are your suggestions for excursions? Also what about shopping. What do I have to to buy at each location? I am so excited! Also, should I book through the cruise, private company, or is it safe to wait until I get there and wing it? Any advice and suggestions are welcome! This is my first cruise and I know nothing.

I have been on the Enchantment of the Seas, she is beautiful !! Make sure you Bungee jump (at the back of the Ship), bring socks and have a blast. In Belize, it is a very poor city/country. Book the shore excursion directly from Royal Caribbean, do not go out on your own. Awsome snorkeling !! Have Fun

Go to their website and book your excursions on-line - that way you will beat the rush for the best excursions. I have been on 8 RCCL cruises and loved every one of them. The Enchantment is a nice ship and the service is outstanding !
There is tons of shopping and plenty of cool bars in Key West on Duvall street (only about two blocks from where the ship docks).
Have a great time !

Kate ROCKS
I just got back from doing to same cruise (my first one too)! I would suggest cave tubbing and zip line in Belize ... we didn't do this but I hear it's great! Or, they Mayan Ruins ... but I hear tubbing is much better. Yes, book through the ship, it is the safest and easiest.

In Cozumel we went to a private beach that gives food and drink with the purchase of admission. It only allows 100 people in (though never even gets that busy) and is beautiful! My favorite part ... the beach is Nachi Cocom, we even went snorkeling through them and I'd definitely recommend snorkeling in Cozumel! Though, at Nachi, we booked them through a website, not the cruise. $49 a person (includes drinks, food (which is awesome), lounge chair under palpas, pool, jacuzzi, clear blue water).

Key West, I wouldn't recommend an excursion. You aren't there that long and it is a nice place to walk around (or rent a bike) and just visit the island. There is a great key lime place ... the Blonde Giraffe, that I would recommend going too! I loved Key West, very pretty in certain parts and a nice way to just relax without an excursion.

You don't have to buy anything at each location but we bought a shot glass at each destination. Also, a couple other little items that caught our eye, but I don't know what to recommend there. Shopping in Belize wasn't that great, Cozumel wasn't bad ... had a decent area with a decent amount of items to choose from, Key West, not bad either ... I got a cute little coconut person there :o).

A couple I met on the cruise didn't get their excursions until they got there, and were a little disappointed because some were booked up already and some weren't what they thought they'd be. I booked in advance ... which I think you should do. At least 14 days in advance I'd recommend.

It was amazing though, you'll enjoy it!!!
