Royal Carribean Prices Went up?

Hi, my wife and I were thinking on going on a cruise November. We went the last 2 times in August and it was great both times! We looked at prices for this August and it looks like they soared (almost $1000 total more). We usually go through a travel agent and get flight included.

Does anyone know if cruising in November is off season?

To be more specific, we went to the carribeans and we think we might want to go out that way again on a 5 day cruise. Thanks in advance!

I have been on about 20 cruises with 4 different cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, and I have found that cruise prices overall are now much lower than they were years ago and also that cruise prices vary MOST by when you book (how far in advance of the cruise). Cruise lines always give the best discounts for early bookings and those would be bookings about 12 months or more in advance. Then the prices start to go up as the cruise approaches.

There is really no such thing as a off season in the Caribbean. Many cruise lines do cruises there all years out of many ports. There are other things that can affect the price such as certain dates that are more popular. But I have cruised the Caribbean in the spring, summer and fall and the ships have been full. On our last cruise in December last year the ship was full.

Cruise prices are also generally lower from certain ports where there is more competition and more ships leaving, like Miami and Ft Lauderdale.

I suggest that you look at several cruise lines and dates for November and later, comparing prices. Pick a date when the prices is lowest instead of a firm date that you may want to cruise on. Also, Royal Caribbean has the best cruise line for locating its specials; just go to their web site and click on the link: 'SEE HOT DEALS".

PS: one of the hot deals is a 5 night Western Caribbean on Sept 29th with a price of $400 for an ocean view or $709 for a balcony.

All cruise tickets price are fluid. It depends on a number of factors what prize you will find for a cruise and it can vary from cruise to cruise and from year to year. If the prizes are higher this year it could be a number of thing including taxes and petrol prizes but it could also be that there is a higher degree of booking make for this summer than the previous. It never hurts to check different cruises and different cruiselines thou. Johan

Prices are always going up and there are numerous factors. It depends on the ship stateroom availibility and the number of days, etc... I'm not sure about off season. We've never cruised in November but I'm sure its fine to go then. The world is raising its prices everywhere and everything so it just makes since i guess.....Royal Caribbean is a GREAT cruise line though! Just keep checking around on the website and play around with the different ships and departure dates etc. Hope you have fun!

I never use the cruiseline to book my air. I can get such better prices and I don't get stuck with the worst flight times.

Are you sure that the cruise went up that high or the Air fare?
Air fares are just crazy right now and that might be why your quote seems so high.
Yes fuel prices are forcing everyone to raise their vacation rates.
Good luck and happy cruising!

Check out www.vacationstogo.com to compare cruises departing in November. With the excecption of the week of Thanksgiving, there are some good deals to be had.

The temperature is still very nice in November in the Carribean.
