Seasickness Meds?

I've been on 2 cruises before... the first one I didn't take anything and paid for it. The 2nd one I had the patch, but it gave me dry mouth, severe drowsyness (I was going to bed by 8:30 every night) and blurred vision. I have heard bonine and ginger are good alternatives. Has anyone used either or could anyone give me some good ideas on preventing sea sickness?

PS- We already booked the lowest level, midship interior room, so that point is covered.

As much as I am a fan of Dramamine, the only way to go on a cruise is BONINE!!!! It worked fantastically for myself and my family. I have seen other people have issues with the patches too... Good luck!

I used the wrist bands on my last cruise. Although I use acupuncture, the wrist bands did not work for me. They only made my wrists itch and bruised.

Dramamine made me drowsy the first day I took it but I was fine after that! Take an ample supply.

Have been on several cruises. I prefer the wrist bands that trigger pressure points on your wrists. You have to wear them on both wrists and they block the signal being sent to your brain that says you are sick. My daughter swears by Bonine, and ginger is excellent for soothing an upset stomach. But believe me, it is easier to prevent it than to recover from it!!!

Dramamine non drousy works

Dramamine non drowsy, you can get it at your local drug store and is probably caried on the ship in the gift shop. It works very well and you can take it only when needed.

They have wrist bands. I think they have them on the ships. It hits a pressure point in your wrist. I heard they help. They are not very fashionable but it works.
