I say go, and hope that it cures your problems .. living in a small space will bring you together, and being away from your lives , and the things that brought you apart, will really make it easier to make up.. cruises can also give you some new shared memories .. life is short don't miss your mom, and don't miss a great cruise. if you don't go then you will always wish you did, and may never get a chance to go again ..KISS AND MAKE UP !!! |

You should go and HOPE that she is there. The trip could help mend this falling out. |

As someone who fought with her mom constantly and horribly when I was a teen and then losing her when I was 20...my advise is to go, enjoy the trip and try to resolve your differences. People are not perfect, even parents, their just people to and have opinions like everyone else. We just don't feel we should have to listen to theirs, but we should. She loves you and some day you'll understand how much....go, and have fun with her. |

more importantly you dont want to lose your mom. sit down and have a talk with her and sort everything out. and go on the trip, you never know it may just bring you guys closer together! you cant ignore her forever! |

You should both go!!
Try to patch things up before you go but in any case you will have no choice but to get along if you both go.
You will both have regrets if you let this get out of hand and just fester. |

Are you sharing a cabin? If so, you need to have a serious talk with her before the cruise. If the two of you can't at least declare a truce, you'll both be miserable.
If you're not sharing a cabin, you should have a talk anyway, but the stakes are much lower. If things start going sour, you can always just avoid each other during the trip.
Good luck. |

I agree with others go and enjoy your trip. A cruise is a wonderful place, an escape from the demands of daily life and commitments where you can simply relax. That formula should ease many tensions and mend things. I am sure your mother feels horrible that there is a disconnect with the two of you. I know many mothers of older children and believe me she wants to be apart of your life. Go to Alaska it is wonderful and try to get along. The ship is huge with many things you can do together or apart. Enjoy! Your very lucky to have the opportunity to go to Alaska its a beautiful trip. |

Be the hero and go, go, go! I am 41 and my MOM and I have fought since the day I said my first word! We've even gone 5 years without talking. We're good now, but we still have our disagreements. You'll resent her if you don't go. Kiss her, give her a hug, tell her you love her and move on. Life is too short to let a falling out over something (probably silly in retrospect) ruin your relationship with your Mom and a trip of a lifetime. Remember, your building memories. |

You should definately go! This is a great opportunity to see Alaska and it's already paid for. It could also be an opportunity for you and your mom to work out some issues away from real life. And if you and your mom can't work out the issues - the ships are HUGE. I couldn't find my family half the time when I was looking for them. Just go with a good attitude, realize that you going to get to do and see some amazing things and perhaps some much needed mom and you bounding time. |

You should go and enjoy it for yourself. If you don't feel comfortable talking to her, try to get away at times and enjoy it by yourself. But, it would be a good way to talk to her. |

Just go. It might repair you guys and you dont have to talk to her much the entire time. Or you see if she still wants to go and if not offer to bring a friend or partner or whatever and just have them pay for the extra things that arn't paid for like booze, shopping, excursions ect. |
