Should i choose royal caribbean's freedom of the seas or disney's disney magic?

Wow For one i hate disney cruise lines because they jack up the rates because its disney and they think they can...i mean $429 - $999 per person for a three night bahama cruise. I mean why not go on a cruise with three people for the price of one person for disney.
Secondly I am in love with the freedom family of ships and i love the service on royal caribbean cruises. Both the Disney and RC ships have programs and areas of the ship just for kids. So if that is a concern its not necessary to select Disney JUST for that, unless your kids want to see Mickey, Donald, Minnie, and Goofie. Both ships also have adults only areas. Disney has an adults only area on its private island, but the private island for RC, Labadee, is so large that you will not be near kids unless you want to be. Its the best private island I have ever been on. Benn on freedom 3 times and liberty twice (same thing on both ships) also indepedance of the seas is the same too but its not sailing yet. Also freedom has toooonns of cruises to the caribbean and liberty too. I just love all the places you can go to and do at the destinations. The southern caribbean is sooo awesome and the itenerarys are the best!! My favorite place is St. Maarten and san juan. Freedom has soooo many things to do like FlowRider®
H2O Zone
Cantilevered whirlpools
Rock-climbing wall
Ice-skating rink
Royal Promenade
Full-size, flat-screen TVs in every stateroom
Themed bars and lounges
Adventure Ocean® youth facilities
ShipShape® Fitness Center and Day Spa
Full-size Everlast boxing ring
Casino RoyaleSM
Presidential Family Suite
Sports Pool
Full-size sports court
9-hole miniature golf course
Disney has waaayyyyy too many childish activites (obveisly) but i had no fun onboard the ship and had the time of my life each time i went on freedom sooooooo CHOOSE FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its cheaper too! So unless your kids really wanna go on disney you pick that one but maaan youll be missing out at some great relaxation and an all around AWESOME time on my FAVORITE ship Freedom Of The Seas!
Hope this helped and if you needto contact me feel free to @ khman9870065@yahoo.com

I have been on both - and depending on what you want to do - Freedom is bigger then Disney's Magic.
Disney ships do not have casino's. All of the entertainment on Disney ships - are Disney themed.
Unless you are a huge Disney fan, I would go with Royal Caribbean.

royal sounds nice!
enjoy!

I would go with royal;

I just booked a Royal cruise and for a limited time at this site there offering Free Cruise Insurance with any booking.

Disney Cruiselines are geared for family activities, although they do have some adult only activities, for parents who need a break. There are likely to be more children on a Disney cruise. Royal Caribbean is always chocked full of activities on a daily basis. I love cruises and I really don't think either would be a bad decision.

What is your basis for choosing any ship? If you or your children love Disney, choose the Disney ship. If not, the Freedom of the Seas has more to offer and costs less.

Nonetheless, without more details there is no way to make a valid recommendation.

It depends. If you have kids, Disney is great. If you don't have kids - you will be surrounded by them - all ages.... Disney ships are family oriented....no casino, family activities, some rules that you won't find on other ships.

Royal Caribbean is a find cruiseline and Freedom is awesome. While there might be kids on the ship, they are NOT catered to by the whole ship. They will have their own day camp and activities, but adults rule the rest of the ship.

I think you might find Royal a little cheaper too.

ROYAL CARIBBEAN! It's awesome!

do you have kids??? If not, I'd prolly do RC but then again IDK what kind of 'excitement' you are looking for!

TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
I recommend Royal Caribbean's Freedom and here's why. Disney has some great ships but just two ships and the cruise line does a very limited number of cruises to the Bahamas and the Eastern and Western Caribbean, plus a couple Mexico and the Panama Canal each way.

I have been on the Freedom and it offers some unique features on the ship, like the rock climbing wall, the ice skating rink, and the RC's exclusive Flow Rider where you can surf on a boogie board right on ship.

Its the best private island I have ever been on; going back there this Dec too.

The most important, for me, reason I would select RC over Disney is that with so many more cruises (they do the same cruise itinerary every week) you have many more opportunities to select a week when the price will be lower or discounted. In addition, since the Liberty of the seas, which is identical with the Freedom, also does the Caribbean with slightly different itineraries, you then have even more options for itineraries and cruises and prices. The RC's Freedom(and Liberty) go to Jamaica (so you can do Dunn's River Falls, or the Martha Brae River Raft); Disney does not go to Jamaica at all.

So go on Disney if you have kids who want to see Disney characters, or if you just want to be able to say you have been on a Disney cruise. But I would be more frugal and get a cruise that is in my opinion better on the RC's Freedom (or the Liberty).
