Typically, smoking is allowed on the port side of the boat, while starboard is non-smoking. You are not supposed to smoke in your room.

Bon Voyage!

You are not supposed to smoke in your room, but they have certain parts of the ship where you can. Just look on the map and it will show you where you can smoke or in the areas where you are allowed to there will be a sign.

You can smoke only in designated areas of the ship. You can smoke in your cabin. One side of the ship is usually designated a smoking side and one side is no smoking. No smoking in the theatre or the dining rooms.

I've been on 2 Carnvial cruises and they did not allow smoking in the cabins. However, if you got a cabin with a balcony, you could smoke out there.

Smoking was also allowed in various lounges, nightclubs, and one side of the Lido (pool) deck.

I don't know about Carnival Cruises, but you can smoke on Holland America Cruises, in your stateroom and outside. You can't smoke in the dining room(s), and some nights you can't smoke in the casino, while other nights you can. You can also smoke in at least one of the bars. And I must say that the ventilation systems must be very good on the Holland American lines because upon returning to my room I never noticed the smell of cigarettes. I'm sure you can find the relevant information for Carnival cruises by checking out their website.

Yes you can as long as it is not in a non smoking area. However when you a docked in Washington state or any other state with a stricked no public smoking policy you will have to get off the ship and 25 feet away from the boarding area to smoke. I say leave the smokes home a save yourself a lot of money and save your health.

Book a smoking room. I took a Carnival cruise last Dec. and didn't have a problem. There are not very many public places on the ship where smoking is permitted, but outside on one side of the ship is all smoking. A small area in one of the bars and in the casino. Have Fun.
