Some More Disney Cruise Questions?

I just came back from a Disney Cruise. Disney has "guidelines" that they publish and broadcast through out the cruise.

Essentially, they give you "recommended" tip amounts and a form you can fill out. Before the last day, just head on down to the main desk and give them your form. They'll give you envelopes with a ticket equating to the tip amount. You can always put more cash in the envelope.

Again, these are recommeneded amounts for your dining room server and housekeeping attendant (each envelope is already labeled as well).

You can book your shore excursions in advance. I recommend you do so right way for September. Even if a particular event is sold out, you can always check later when you board the ship to see if anything has opened up. If enough demand is present, they could possibly add more shore excursion slots/buses/tours.

Disney did a great job organizing the cruise and taking care of everything. They'll provide you with a daily newsletter of the next day's shore excursions, lectures/seminars, shows, dining times, and activities for kids of all age groups, couples, singles/single parents.

try cruisejungle.com for info on cruises. Another site Has a cruisetip calculator. I can't find it(the calculator site) in my favorites at the moment, but i would google "CRUISE TIP CALCULATOR". You can put the amt of days you re cruising, how many guests in the party and then it calculated what you should tip. Cool huh? lol I agree with the person who said get to the ship really early (as early as you can) ,Getting on the ship seems to go smoother that way. Have a great time on your disney cruise.

It's normally $3.50 per person - per day. That is $3.50 for your waiter, assistant waiter, and room steward.
You can book your shore excursions on the ship. One tip is instead of paying the price for the shore excursion, do alittle research and see if you can get to these places on your own. You'll save some money. I know that if you are going to Nassau, you can go over the Atlantis by water taxi for $5.00 - and you can still use the beach, see the dig, and use all of the facilities except for the pools and slides while you are there. You can even go in the Casino.

I forgot how much they charge for tips & such.

It is better in a way to book cruise excursions before you get there so they arent booked, since usually things get very full pretty fast. But make sure that you are aware of all the excursions. I wasnt, & i regretted it, since i didnt know there was a banana boat one.

Do's/Dont's about cruising on disney, Get to port canaveral EARLY. the sooner you get there, the faster your vacation starts! & besides, why go later? also, if it's your first time cruising, i suggest you bring medicine if you get sea sick. if you do, it's a complete waste of $ & time. other than that there isnt much else you need to know. it's an extremely great cruise line & im way jelouse of you! haha good luck hope this helped :)
