I went both the eastern and western Caribbean on Princess and had a wonderful time, both cruises. Now Carnival is less expensive, but the old adage is you get what you pay for. Princess has better food, cabins, and there overall ships are more luxurious. Many people are happy with Carnival and since they are owned by the same company, you can't go wrong either way. |

Umm i was just looking at some of Carnival Cruise Lines Http://www.carnival.com . They seem to be pretty reasonable. A 3-day Cruise to the bahamas was $250ish a person. The prices vary. You can try some other cruise lines but i mean i thought that was reasonable. |

I always start my research on vacationstogo.com. I put in the criteria that is important to me (star rating of 4 or more, ports, cost, etc) and then I can go to any travel agent, brick and mortar or online and compare for the best deal. If you need to fly to your port do not book airfare through the cruiseline. It is much more expensive and you get terrible times and connections. You are a great daughter for doing this for him. I would also suggest that you do a 7 day cruise, shorter ones tend to be party central. |

i have booked 2 cruises with cruisedeals.com. Carnival is the most affordable. Airfare sucks so try and get something leaving from your area. I'm looking for one for my 30th bday too! So nice of you to do that for your dad! Good Luck! |
