The Norwegian Cruise Line or Royal Caribbean?

We are planning on going on a cruise next year and want to go top of the line. Which cruse is better while also keeping in mind prices?

I prefer Royal Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean is a cruise line that caters to young cruiser and families. It has the advantage of having the most on-board activities. Things like ice skating, roller blading, mini-golf course, a full sized basketball/tennis court, the rock climbing wall, and on the new Freedom Class ships the surfing simulator, the Flowrider.

I'm currently debating between those 2 also. I think I will go on NCL.

We have never sailed Royal Caribbean we have only sailed NCL (3 times) and we absolutely love it.

As for the prices it depends on the category and type of stateroom you want to stay in.

Norwegian - better everything.

Both are good but if you book NCL during a sale you can get ship board credit or some other amenity for free.

Good luck

It depends. Royal Caribbean is, if you're looking for lots of around-the-clock activities --e.g. onboard ice skating, rock climbing, mini golf, Broadway shows.

If you're looking, instead, for a more casual, relaxing cruise, with more choices and freedom in terms of how to spend your time (and when you want to dine) aboard, then Norwegian is probably the better bet.

Royal is more fun. more activities, more things to do on board. Borwegian if you want more low key and slight more elegant.

I've heard a lot of negative stuff about NCL.

I'd go with Carnival but since you didn't mention it, I'll suggest Royal Caribbean.

Royal hands down. So many people on this board hate NCL. I happen to be one of them. Worst cruiseline ever. The service, the crew, the food. I was on the bottom level of the ship and it didn't even have carpet. Titanic--every time I was on the elevator someone mentioned the fact that you do realize we are the 3rd class, and they all died.

Royal is just such a better caliber ship. The crew is friendly, the food is great. Far more activities on board.

NCL is cheaper but price isn't everything and you definitely get what you pay for. The extra $200 for the cabin saves your vacation.
