A cruise may not be the vacation for you...there is always something to do in a cruise. I have been to many of them. I am looking forward to doing it again. I end up so tired from all the activities on and off ship. |

Cruises have LOTS of things going on. However, you may not appreciate the activities. If, say, you prefer to sit inside and watch TV, a cruise may not be very interesting to you ... no TV! OMG! Instead you get shopping trips, tours, tourist activities in your ports of call; swimming; bingo; exercise classes; lots of great foods; often ship-board classes when there's no port of call; live performances; spa services; crafts; and so on. If you're shy and not with people you know, it may also not be as much fun for you. If cruising simply isn't your thing, perhaps you might think about what DOES appeal to you and try a vacation based on that. |

Some people would think having "nothing to do" is the perfect vacation.
However, I think that if you can't find anything to do on a cruise, then you're not trying! There's something going on nearly all the time, some of it silly, some of it educational or just fun. The only way you can't have fun is if you need to be entertained with video games, etc. all the time - and even then, the ships have video game rooms!
Cruises aren't everyone's "cup of tea", though, so maybe you should stick to land-based vacations. |
