Definitely use cruisecompete.com
What you do is put the information that you're looking for into the site, and within more more than three days you will be emailed tons of quotes for cruises. You will definitely get the best deal this way because it's all of the cruise sites online that come together in one to get you the best deals.

For last minute cruises (90 days or less in advance) definitely use vacationstogo.com
They have specific last minute deals which are incredibly cheap.
Sometimes they'll have onboard credit that you can have as well.

Hope this helps!!

Time travler
Check out "vacations to go" for great prices. I recently booked with them. I have also book straight through the cruise ship(princess) and with a travel agent. I recommend for first timers to use a good travel agent that specializes in cruises. They will steer you in the right direction.

I usually compare prices on the three main travel websites: expedia, travelocity, and priceline. I also look to what is advertised on specific cruise lines pages. My number one source of information is from other cruisers on cruisecritic.com they have reviews, tips on getting deals, and a fantastic bulletin. Then usually I can gage what is an appropriate price from there! Good luck.

1st figure out what destination that you would like to travel to.
2nd figure out when you would like to go.
3rd figure out how many days you would like to go.
4th decide what type or types of cabins you would consider sailing in, are you going to spend only a little time in your cabin go for an inside and save some money, or do you need a window, or a balcony, etc...
5th visit different cruise line websites and see what prices they have to offer, also call their 1-800 numbers and speak to an agent that works directly for the company and ask them to look up rates for you.
After that if you want to check out discount sites feel free to, but you can get better service by calling the company directly.

try http://www.cruiseasy.joystar.com it specializes in discount Cruise prices

I book cruises. I actually put together groups and that way I can offer better rates with a group rate. I put together a couple groups a year and have a steady client list who really enjoy going on cruises. They enjoy the deal I give them and the knowledge I have compared to booking on the internet.
