We hosted a 14-person family reunion cruise on the Conquest in March.
Ok...
$70.00 to park at the port.
$10 per day/per person for tips - $70 for 7 day cruise
$35-45 per person for soda card. - pays for itself since sodas are $1.75 per can.
$22 per sheet of pictures. They have tons of photographers on board. You will end up buying some of them!
$5,10,20 - per bingo card
$7.50-20.00 - temporary tatoos
$4-12 for bar drinks
$50-200 per person per shore excursions. You don't have to take shore excursions. All of these places have beaches. But there are some neat things to do, expecially in Cozumel. Dolphin Encounter, glass bottomed submarine.
Take plenty of $1, 5 amd 10 bills for shopping in the markets in port and to tip various folks, taxi drivers, excursion tour guides, ferry operators.
Highly recommend one of the Stingray tours in the Grand Caymans but skip the one with Hell and Turtle farm. These side trips take too much time.
You have to tender (take the ferry) in Grand Cayman. Allow plenty of time.
We LOVED the Cavern by Jeep tour in Cozumel. You get to swim in an underground river, drive Jeeps and spend time at a private beach with an authentic Mexican lunch. It was awesome. Submarine ride was fun.
Carnival with set up an account for you when you board. You can use a credit card or cash deposit for on-board purchases. On board, other than the gambling, it is a CASHLESS system. Meaning, you can't use cash to buy anything.
I use a credit card and get sticker shock at the end of the cruise. However, my sister uses a cash deposit. That way, she only spends what she has budgeted. You can view your expenses through the TV on the Conquest. Once you reach your cash deposit, you will get a note and you can add money to your account or stop spending....
You can view shore excursions on Carnivals website. Once you are booked, I think the prices appear.
Don't miss the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake they offer in the dining room. It is excellent. |

I think everyone else has answered your questions pretty well. If you've never been on the Conquest I think you'll have a lot of fun!!!! |

Depends on what you want to do really, if you take the ships excursions, you can maybe pay for this on a credit card, so you only need cash for the islands, and they all take $$ american anyway, you will perhaps want to but souviners of the islands, but with big items in Cayman and Cozumel again you can put this on a credit card....Cayman swimming with the sting rays is a great excursian run by the ship and is lots and lots of fun so is snorkelling......have a great time, there is also a ATM on the ship and on the different islands so you can always draw out more money if you dont take enough.... |

This depends on you. My husband and I went on the Carnival Glory and we spent about $1000, but we bought a video camera while in St. Marteen.
When you check in, Carnival will link your credit card to your carnival fun pass. This means that you put everything that you buy on the boat (extra drinks, souvenirs, shore excursions, etc) goes on this card and it is charged to your credit card. If you go on shore excursions you might not even need any money on the island.
If you are shopping it just depends on how much you want to buy. |
