We are going on a Carnival cruise leaving from Los Angeles, and I wondered what the cheapest way to park is?

I'm assuming that you are departing from Long Beach? I have never cruised from there. But have cruised from San Pedro. I would just park on the cruise ship port grounds. I don't think that you will find anything cheaper. Unless it is far away from there. If you find parking elsewhere make sure that they have a shuttle bus to take you to and from the port. Here is a link on parking info at the port of Long Beach.

If you're departing from Long Beach, it's $12/day to park.

Some nearby hotels let you park at thier going rate, maybe about $10/day.

Some have free shuttles to the cruise terminal, others you'd need to call a taxi.

I have tryed both , hotel parking and port parking. the hotel parking means you must wait for them and load and unload your bags. parking at the port is fast, get off load your bags and your on the road, for a few dollars more. Also you can make up the cost by staying in any motel you want too, I stay in a cheaper town than Long Beach, and drive to the ship on the morning of the cruise, so some times cheap isn't as cheap as it sounds

Most hotels in the area will charge from nothing to $50 a week for parking if you stay one night. That is less than half of what the port parking will be. Some have one way or round trip shuttles.

It is usually cheaper to make arrangements with a local hotel to park and have round trip shuttle service. Many hotels offer this complementary with a minimum one night stay.
