We received our tickets for a Carnival cruise, the luggage tags are different colors, what do the colors mean? |
There are 3 couples going and each of us got different colored tags. |

The tags are color coded for sorting and routing. It helps them get the luggage to your room quicker. |

Your rooms must not be near each other. Each color is associated with the deck your room is on. Also for disembarkation, you may get a different color depending on your departure time. |

the different color tags represent which deck and what part of ship you are staying so your luggage will make it to your cabin, they have inside/outside tags, forward, center, aft colors. this way it is easier to deliver luggage in a timely fashion to all parts of ship. have fun. |

could be loading order or unloading order. When you get off a ship you get off in shifts. The colors tell the baggage handlers which group you are in. But, i think they give you the unloading tags your last day on the ship. So, it might be your loading order. They don't want everyone going on the ship at the same time. they load in groups too. Or, it could be the section of the ship you're on. |
