I used to work on cruise ships for a couple years, and I met my fiancee while she was taking a Caribbean cruise on my ship with her friends/family! Since I have spent so much time on them, and she owns a cruise travel agency, we're looking at taking the perfect honeymoon cruise -- a 10-12 night Mediterranean cruise in late spring. Wonderful weather, romantic Italian, Spanish, and Greek ports, five-star meals every night, and many destinations with only one night of packing/unpacking our things!!
If you want to be, you can be mini-celebrities on board -- 'The Honeymoon couple' -- and be sure to get called up for the Newlywed Game shows they do, and enjoy other perks if you make sure to speak with the VIP Host/Hostess... maybe even get invited to the Captain's Table for a formal night dinner if you talk with the hostess the first day on board! ...of course, you can also just blend in if you want to remain low-profile -- it's all up to you!
...now to just figure out how to fly there for less than $1000 per person... ugh. |

Well Hawaii and Europe are probably the best destinations, and you can take a two week Hawaii cruise, or a 2 week European cruise on various different cruise lines and prices. Also, I would suggest that if you can afford to do this and if you have the time to take off from work, then you might want to consider one of those around the world cruises, if you like that idea, but if not just try a 2 or 3 week cruise. Most cruise lines have various different departure dates and itineraries. |

Well, we went to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, which was just fabulous, but Kenya is good too! Have a look at Mnarai Club Hotel in Kilifi Crek! Fabulous, and take in a safari too.
Other than that, come over to Cyprus! We have some fabulous beaches, great nightlife, an wonderful food!
If your looking at cruises, have a look at The Royal Caribbean Line! My brother-in-law is chief of security for this company, and says they're the best!! Alaska is supposed to be the place with the real 'Wow factor!' |

I'm planning on going to Japan. Seeing Kyoto during either cherry blossom season or when the leaves are changing in the fall would be sublime. |

Scotland, the hills are great for walking, no one around for miles and you can just chill. It's 10*c at the moment here. |

First Congrats...I would luv to either go to England or the Bahamas.
England ..for the castles and museums and well just the beauty of it.
Bahamas..for the beautiful beaches and the water. They say that the ocean is so blue you can see the bottom.
Well wherever u both choose I am sure you will be enjoying yourselves. |

Cruises are great fun, lots of entertainment, but you are cooped up on a ship with a lot (thousands, on a big ship!) of other people. That what you want on a honeymoon?
If not, try a small island resort, like maybe some of the Maldives. You can have your own water-bungalow where you can really feel alone with your new spouse, but all the facilities of the resort are on hand. |
