Western caribeean cruise on carnival?

Yes I have. Several in fact. Absolutely love it. Ignore the silly answers about salt water pools (yes all cruise ships have salt water pools--that's free whereas water would be very very expensive to carry).

Your experience depends on your ship and your ports of call. My favorite port of call is Cozumel. It has the best snorkeling. Belize is one of my other favorites. Absolutely amazing and the best shore excursions of any port of call. Cave-tubing.com or Xunantunich Mayan ruins.

I do not particularly care about the ship though many people do. A newer ship will have more features and be bigger, but my favorite cruise ship was the smaller Fantasy class ship, so don't let that lead you. I find the crew and entertainment better on the smaller ships. I also don't care about my cabin. I've never gotten a suite and wouldn't see the point since I'm not hanging out in the room.

Baby sitting is not included in such as you have someone individually watching your child and putting them to bed. However depending on your child's age there is Camp Carnival.

That is included at no extra cost until 3 am but your child will be in the giant room with other people's kids, not being put to sleep in the cabin.

I can tell you more about my cruises and which one might be right for you if you limit down to a couple ships/itineraries.

alright to the salt water pools thing...stop being immature, not like its dirty and since theres no chlorine there isnt that bad of chemicals so stop being obnoxious,

i would go on the carnival its so much fun and has a lot to do
im going on the western in 35 days and ive been on the eastern with carnival and it was aloooot of fun

i say go for it
and the babysitting is not included at night, only the day time with camp carnival

I did a western one with carnival around 5 years ago...it was my first cruise so i had nothing to compare it to back then. It was ok, not much entertainment, the food was ok not really super great. I liked my second cruise better with royal caribbean, way better ship, better food, way more entertainment. I know they have day camps for kids which are free i believe, but i don't think there is any babysitting at night, but not too sure. If this is your first cruise, i think carnival cruise ships are ok for first timmers, the most fun is visiting each island anyways !!!

I wouldn't go on those ships. They dump all their garbage and sewage right in the water. They're allowed to do it once they're 3 miles from shore.
