What's it like to be on a Cruise? (elaborate for points)?

Cruising is wonderful. you are in a first class hotel, with first class dining. you will be pampered from the minute you board to the minute you leave. The staff will treat you like royalty and for a very small amount more ( as in an extra tip) you will be treated BETTER than Royalty. After all these people in the service of cruise ships depend on tips therefore give the best service they are capable of. Cruising gives you the opportunity to sea the world while traveling in comfort and style. some people THINK cruises are crowded, but the ships are so spacious and the ship is designed in such a way that you really never feel like it's crowded, the exception is when boarding and leaving the ship, but no worse than boarding a plane train or any other place where people are moving, (airports, bus stations ETC) I would cruise on every holiday if it was possible.

mostly you can relax and do as you wish.
If you want to dress up and have a fancy dinner you can do so at the specialty restaurants. If you want to have room service for dinner that is possible too. hamburgers,hot dogs or pizza by the pool is a quick snack
there's usually a fine gym and spa so you can excersize to your hearts content. Shows each night after dinner are good. There's comedians,pianists for example.
you get to stop at different ports to see different places and enjoy knowing you can get back on the ship and the familiar surroundings of your cabin rather than having to find a hotel for yourself.
you can meet people on your tours and on the ship, sometimes making long time friends.
and you can just relax and enjoy the scenery.

First you get to see more than one place for your money.
You get to see many islands even if it is only for a day.
Additionally, all meals are provided since it is like a floating hotel.
You are not restricted on the luggage like the planes.
It is cheaper considering what you have to pay for plane fare these days.
You get first class service.
Eat as much as you like and anytime of the day or night.
Have to pay for drinks but if you are not a drinker then it would not bother you.
Have to pay to use the computers.
Get to use all the gym, sauna for free.
Nightly shows.
Pool, gift shop etc.
Cheaper going outside the ship to book tours with the taxi drivers.
Best traveling experience and best deal in travel.

The others answered so eloquently, I would just be repeating their answers. I like going on cruises for all the same reasons. I go to have fun ! you can party your brains out, don't have to worry about driving home, what happens on the cruise, stays on the cruise. Nobody will remember who you are or what or name is.I can't sing but I love to Karaoke . I like to cheer others on also. I dance, and dance until my butt hurts. It makes you feel young.
