I actually just booked a cruise leaving out of New Orleans. I would recommend that over the one leaving Mobile, which is one of the oldest Carnival ships and is way out of date. I went to orbitz.com and I got a free upgrade to an oceanview room for around $400, which is amazing. I also found cheap deals at aaa.com |

Well, there are a bunch of things you can do to get the best deal. The most important is actually WHEN you sail. If you can avoid school vacations there are much better prices (since fewer people can cruise then): Feb, March, October, November are your best bets.
