What are bathrooms on cruise ships like?

we're going on a royal caribbean cruise

The bathrooms on Royal caribbean are bigger than most cruise ships but are less than a quarter the size of a small bathroom in a house. (If you drop the soap in the shower, you have to get out to pick the soap up).
Unless you have a suite, the bathroom will have a shower, a handbasin and a toilet. The toilets are vacuum operated and can be quite fierce, so it's advisable not to be on it when you flush.
There is a shaver point in the bathroom, a hairdryer, and a mirror. You also have a soap, shower gel and shampoo dispenser.

They are small. The toilets work on a vacuum system with very little water. Be sure to get up before flushing. If you have a suite you will have a tub but all other rooms have a small shower.

The cruise ship we were on had a bathroom with a bath tub with shower over, airline type vacuum toilet (you have to close the lid to press the button) and normal hotel type counter top with inset bowl. It was not that much smaller than our bathroom at home (ours is small) and had plenty of storage. We were not in a suite. Different ships vary, the older ships appear to have larger bathrooms but they all serve their purpose. Enjoy your cruise.

They are small but plenty big enough to do what you need to do!

The first time you flush, you'll get a surprise. They make a sound like a jet.

Hmmmm
like your bathroom at home.may not be as big but they contain all the essential equipment
