I thoroughly enjoyed the Atlantis Hotel. We didn't book a room, so we didn'g get to swim or anything, but we did do the aquarium and we are still talking about it to this day! It was our favorite part of the whole cruise!!! |

Definitely see the Atlantis! I've done both. The Atlantis is like nothing you've seen before, and if you have the nerve, you can go on this slide they have that shoots you past some sharks . . . thrilling! It is a beautiful and EXPENSIVE resort. There are other water activities you can do while you visit the Atlantis, so you can have the best of both worlds.
If you go to the Marketplace, I am sure you can find some cheap T-shirts and other kinds of trinkets to take home. You can bargain. Try going to the jewelry stores for Tanzanite-- beautiful gemstone jewelry. A friend bought nothing but jewelry while in the Bahamas and it all appraised for more when she came back to the States (just make sure you declare it in Customs if over the amount they allow). Try some Conch Fritters!!! |

I would rather go swimming with dolphins or for that matter anything in the water, scuba diving, snorkeling, para sailing, because you can see right down to the bottom it is so beautiful there |

Whatever you do....DON'T do the Yellowbird party cruise. It was the worst shore excursion I've ever done. I did a dolphin swim on another island and would do it again any day! While the Atlantis is impressive, it's still just a hotel. You might be able to see it by water-taxi before or after your dolphin swim if you really want to. |

I loved going snorkeling. It was one of the best things I've ever done in the Bahamas. The Atlantis is a building. Go for the wild life. Fish and Dolphins. |
