Most important thing was a power strip.

Julie T
* Power strip. Usually only 1 power outlet in cabin.
* Beach bag to carry towels and other stuff on shore excursions.
* Extra Dramamine
* Nightlight. Cabins are wicked dark
* Alarm clock for early morning shore excursion departures
* Lanyard or other way to carry cabin card key
* XXXL Ziploc bag for dirty, sandy wet clothes
* Plenty of $1, 5 and 10 in US dollars for shopping in ports, taxis, tipping shore excursion personnel. Small bills are better than large ones

**Pack your documents, medications, valuables and anything you need/want (cigarettes, etc) before midnight in your carry on luggage. It can take several hours to get your luggage.

Don't forget your passport thats the most important thing. I forgot a camera I would suggest a waterproof disposable they are expensive to buy on the trip.

An additional plug strip because you will have 1 plug and if you need to plug in a curling iron, dryer, razor and cel phone charger you are out of luck. Also a night light, and a portable clock as you won't find a clock in any room. I actually went to Wal Mart and bought a 3 adaptor plug with a built in night light that works perfect, cost less than $3.00. You will also need a card( like what you use at the grocery store for discounts) a card that has a bar strip on it to be able to use your room safe.
We also took a few bottles of water and a few pepsi's.
have fun.

motion sickness medicine! a hat and shades are a must too. a windbreaker, a good book, bathing suit, flip flops, beach bag or carry all bag, a water proof bag (for camera and wallet etc), camera, extra batteries (or re chargeable ones) and lots of money (the stores on the ship charge an arm and a leg for everything!)

Sun Block, Goggles, Camera, Film, Flip Flops, A small backpack to hold stuff, and something to do on the plane ride like a magazine or something, electronics, mp3s, or something, but dont overpack, no one will care if you wear the same skirt twice or the same jeans twice. It will save you room and you'll have more room for souvenirs.

Don't forget the kind of shoes that can get wet, zip-lock bags for your stuff when you go to the beach, minimal first aid kit, disposable under-water cameras, Aloe lotion for burns, Dramamine, shades, hat, etc.

I went to the Bahamas and only packed two pairs of shorts. Could have used two more.

My friend and I have been on seven cruises together. We have never forgotten anything! Knock on wood! We start planning very early on. We each make lists of everything. We know exactly what clothes, shoes and all the necessities we need. We go though the booklet the cruise company sends and make more lists. We both start packing a week or so ahead of time and check off the lists as we go. Half the fun is planning and getting ready for a cruise. You should have seen us getting ready for our 17 day circle Hawaii cruise. We booked it 1and 1/2 yrs ahead of time and planned, shopped, and talked about it the whole time.

passport and ticket....the most important thing...

stephanie s
some sort of beach tote/bag or back pack we forgot one and had to use one of our carry on bags for an excursion and it was a pain
