What are the BEST and WORST cruise lines?

Carnival is known as the wall mart of the cruise lines, good price and grate value for your money but is not outstanding. For my taste Princess, Celebrity and Holland America are the most luxury, Royal Caribbean mega ships with a lot of things to do...
The Worst probably Costa. But keep in mind that a new cruise ship it is going to be better than an old one so some times is better a cheaper a new Costa Magica Ship than Empress of the seas from Royal Caribbean.

Disney Wonder is the absolute best!

TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
Your question is very hard to answer because it depends to a great extent on personal preferences. Some may say that the BEST cruise lines would be the luxury lines like Seaborne, Crystal, and Silverseas because they have the best food, have more staff to serve you, have almost all balcony cabins, have more amenities included in the cruise fare (like wine with dinner), and fewer passengers on their smaller ships. One of these days I may get enough money together to go on one of these luxury (the best) cruises. But in the meantime I HAVE been on 4 different cruise lines and I can tell you which of these was/is best, in my opinion.

I have cruised many times on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean, three times on Princess, and once on Celebrity. In my opinion, considering food, service, amenities, the ship's decor, and the comfort and convenience of the cabins, I would rate the best as Celebrity with Princess a very close second. Then I rate Royal Caribbean as a close third but it is my favorite cruise line because it has in my opinion the best ships with the most things to do while you are on board. Royal Caribbean's new Freedom Class ships are absolutely fabulous (cruised on the Freedom a couple yrs ago) and I also love their Voyage and Radiance Class ships. The Voyage class ships are a slightly smaller version of the Freedom class. And they have almost the same on-board activities.

In my opinion, Norwegian is at the bottom of my list. That's mainly because I have had service issues with them and just do not like their "freestyle" cruising. At one time they were tops with me but they have fallen really quickly.

Now I cannot comment on Carnival based on personal experience, but I do know that they are the budget, no frills cruise line. Many people say they like them best; to each his/her own.

ROYAL CARIBBEAN IS BY FAR THE BEST!!!!!!!!! There is sooo much to do and the ships are amazing! They have ice skating rinks and surf simulators and rock walls and so much more! The staff is awesome and they make you feel like royalty! The worst would prob. be Carnival. Not all expirences are bad on Carnival but a lot of people are disapointed by it and have bad expirences with the ships and customer service. If your thinking of a cruise I would highly reccomend RC to anyone of any age!! Disney is a good cruise line too....kids or no kids its still fun! But my vote goes to Royal Caribbean!
