What are the best Beach excursions in Ocho Rios and Caymen Islands, on RCL?

I just booked our 5 night west.caribbean cruise the other day. It's for Feb. 28th, and is on the Navigator of the seas, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. We are porting in and out of Ft. Lauderdale, and going to Ocho Rios Jamaica and Georgetown, Caymen Islands. Really, all we would like do at both of those places is go to a beautiful beach where we can drink and relax, and maybe pick up some souvenirs. I know the cruise line excursions are the most expensive and some of the beach ones are only for like 3 hours long. I usually spend more time than that on the beach. What would you guys advise for those type of shore excursions. This will be our first time cruise.

Grand Caymen is a beautiful island with great beaches. Don't get your hopes up about Jamica. The whole island is pretty run down, not kept up and people harass you to buy beads (and pot) on the beaches constintly. Just tell them no and they go away but another comes along every few minuets. Better to stay with the tour groups on Jamica. GC you can venture off by yourself.
Don't pass up the opportunity to shop the store along the strip just as you get off the ship in GC.

Caymen has one of the nicest stingray tours. You will be bused to the dock where you will pick up a very new Double deck boat and then there is a really nice ride out to the sandbar where you will meet all the stingrays. It is a really nice day. I also did a snorkel tour there once and it was very nice.

not sure about ocho but in GC, take a shuttle bus to seagrape beach. the bus is about $3 and the beach costs $10pp
