Here are some activities that you will have in your age group:
12-14 year olds

Our Navigators program is specially designed just for teens. It's not some structured program of classes. You can come join activities and games when you want to, or just chill in our Living Room with your friends. And your parents won't worry about leaving you there, because every member of our Adventure Ocean® staff holds a college degree in education, recreation or other related field.

Activities are scheduled throughout the day and early evening. The Teen Center is open from 10:30 p.m.- 2:00 a.m. each evening. Navigators are welcome to come and hang out and join in activities, make new friends, and dance or just listen to music.

Activities Include:

Battle of the Sexes
Dancing Under the Stars
Learn to be a DJ
Toga Party
Talent Show
The 411
Karaoke
Pool Party
The Quest
Sports Tournaments
Scavenger Hunts
Karake
College Night
Video Game Challenge

They have programs and events each day and night for every age group! Every night you'll get the next day's itinerary and it has some really fun stuff on it!

Tons, cruise lines have invested millions in child care programs. They have disco's for teens only, were you can meet up, parties for teen, and a lot more. Nearly all shore excursions are entertaining enough for the pickiest teen. For specifics, refer to the little newsletter they give you every day. Trust me, you'll never get board unless you want to.

Go on the water slide! I think that there is a wave/surf pool there. It's really fun!

Royal Caribbean has terrific teen activities which include clubs where you can just chill with others your age during the day and turn into dance clubs at night. They even have a teen bar in the club but it only serves soft drinks-sorry!! They have video areas, games and show movies, go swimming, but to be honest the kids really just want to hang together getting to know each other and making friends. My daughter went on her first cruise on the Empress of the Seas (which was then called the Nordic Empress) at 15 years old, and made friends she still keeps in contact with to this day (and she's 26 now) via the internet, some as far away as Australia! Please believe me--you won't be bored for one minute and will probably see very little of your parents or kid sister! In fact, chances are your sister will be involved in her own activities with others her own age! Ever since that first cruise, my daughter can't wait to go again and again and I'm sure you'll feel the same way too!! One word of caution--PLEASE do not hang out with members of the crew. It has become extremely dangerous and definately not worth it because if you are caught, they get fired and you can get put off the ship with your family at the next port!! Lastly, even though you may not think its cool, always let your parents know where you'll be so that in case of emergency they can locate you quickly. Believe me--emergencies at sea do happen and ships are huge places to try to locate somone. I know--it happened to us and it took 2 1/2 hours to find our daughter (who had fallen asleep on a pool chair and didn't here the loud speaker announcements!! We thought she got left behind at the previous port and panicked! Don't put your parents thru it -- its not worth the terror).

My grandfather brought me on a two week cruise when I was 11... trust me, you will have PLENTY to do! Most cruiselines have many activities and areas on their ships that cater exclusively to kids. The ship I was on even had a dance club section just for the kids.

I even made a great friend while I was on that cruise.

You'll have a great time and there'll be plenty of things for both you and your sister to do... together or separately

Have fun!

Keep a diary. Bring a Bible or other reading material along. Write letters. Bring cards and learn solitaire games.

HTH!

You are a lucky young lady! I'd say there's going to be plenty for you to do. Lots of food, swimming, and rest and relaxtion.. plus you'll get to see all sorts of different places and people. I am 33 years young and I have never been on a cruise! So have fun for me too...O.K.?

They have all kinds of activities for the younger crowd on ships. Just ask them when you get aboard and they will make sure you have lots to do and fun doing it. Get online and check out their website and you'll see all of the fun activities they have. Have fun!!

like they say on TV there are a million ways to have fun, but i think that's exaggerated a bit, but it could still be a fun experience, and you don't have to hang around all the time with your family. there are fitness facilities, endless sun decks, great food, there's usually a vid game center, and for a ridulously high fee there is internet, also dances, athletic stuff like volleyball, swimming pools, and endless opportunities at the ports of call. You'll have a great time, and you'll love cruising until you're blue-haired with a walker.

thats the same week I am going away, but I am going to the British Virgin Islands, I am 14 and what I did when I was 12 was go to the teen club and hang out there and once I made some friends we hung out in the pool, around the hotel in the club off the boat... there is lots to do, don't sweat it you will have fun and make new friends. Oh, don't forget to get their email.

Oh hey, I'm 15 and I went on a cruise when I was 14. It was soo much fun! There were so many different things to do! i was there for 6 days and I wished I could have stayed there longer! On the first night I went to one of the teen clubs and I met all the other teens that were on the cruise and we danced and we hung out for the rest of the night. See if your cruise has any clubs to go to and meet other teens and then you can have someone else to hang out with for the rest of the trip. They also have shows at night time like magic shows, talent shows, performances..and so many other kinds...have fun don't even worry about it! There's also a pool and gym that you can hang out in too!

My 13 year old sister went with us on a cruise recently, and we received all sorts of invitations for teen activities, including a disco, an arcade, special dinners, and special excursions for teens. Check with your cruise line to see what is available.

tons of stuff to do on the ship & at port. this trip may help your relationship with your sister. days when you are at sea you can be on deck, in the pool etc. they always have activities planned. when you are at port, you can shop, go to the beach. try snorkeling.

Angela
There are cruise directors especially for your age group and they schedule all sorts of terrific activities all day long. What a way to meet new kids your age and make fast friends. Have fun!
