What cruise ship has kid-friendly rails? I'm terrified of my kids climbing the rails of most ships.?

I've been on both Carnival and Royal Caribbean, but neither time did I travel with my kids. Now, my hubby and I are ready to take a family cruise, but I'd like to find a ship with glass rails or some other type of rail that a kid can't climb or slip through. Any help would be great ~ thanks!

Basically family friendly lines are concerned about climbing kids just like any responsible parent would be. So, pick a ship and have a great cruise.

There is no way that a child can climb or "fall off" a ship. Any cruise line will be safe.

I just returned from the Disney Cruise Ship "Magic". On the ship tour, I got some interesting bits of information.

The ship was designed with "kids" in mind. They specifically made the rails harder to climb. There are personnel on deck pretty much.

In the verandah cabins, your balcony has a thick class plating between the rails and your balcony and the rail is higher.

If you ask has anyone fallen overboard, I was told by the crew there was one incident when some crazy lady jumped over the side but the crew promptly rescued her...and then she and her whole family was ordered off the boat at the next port.

Disney cruises are designed with children in mind, so in terms of activities, entertainment and facilities, I think they cater more toward children, so I would think they're safest for children.

I went on a RC cruise not too long ago...the rails were tightly packed and/or had a glass or other see-through plastic cover, too.

i would guess that the disney cruise line would have them because it is a family oriented cruise line the easiest way to find out is to ask a travel agent or the companies themselves.

I can't truly answer your question, but I agree with the other poster here... The Disney cruise line would be your best bet, as it is geared towards families, especially children. I would imagine that they make it as safe as possible.

For the record though, I can't think of any times off the top of my head where I heard of any kids falling over the side. Now drunk men falling over... that's a different story... but not kids.
