Hey Ashira. It's a cabin steward, regardless of whether it's a male or female. A stewardess is a female flight attendant on an airplane.

So, who's the dumb @ss now?

they are cabin stewards. They are not room stewards because there are not rooms on ships, just cabins.

I called them a Maid..

But when I went on a cruise, they INTRUDED in on us, so we called them the intruders.

ctelly22
They're called cabin stewards or room attendants never heard them referred to as housekeepers.

Kristina L
I know it's not PC but we always called ours the "House Elf" (from Harry Potter), because stuff would just magically get done and we never saw them. We'd go to breakfast at a different time everyday and we'd come back to a perfect room! We even tried to catch him in the act, but he outsmarted us every time, haha.

Cabin stewards or room stewards is what I call them. I find that they work very hard and do a wonderful job.
