for all these ppl who obviously dont travel.........YES if you live in the united states and you travel to a different country you will NOT have the same cell phone service unless u have a global phone..most ppl dont.

i live on the canadian border..and go across all the time. my service changes and i do get charged if i use my phone.
also...i go to mexico all the time. it will say a different cell phone service on your phone thats when you kno it has changed. it wont say "sprint" "verizon" "at&t? etc anymore

ALSO......your cell phone will not work on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean! only when your docked at a port..lol

i dunno

no...unless they don't have a texting plan like myself, then they will be charged whatever their carrier charges for a received text..mine is .20 cents.

beautifullyundone
it's best to check with your cell phone carrier.

I don't think so. I think it's different with text I know they would get charged for long distance with a phone call though.Hope this helps.

no, they won't.

Kelly
I think so. Because anywhere you send a message, the person who is txting gets charged and you do too. you have the same total.

♥katie
it depends what their plan is but most likely not

Vanessa N
no

Only you will be charged. Cruise ships now have their own cell, but with major roaming charges. It is best to arrange with your cell provider before you go to have access in the islands you plan to visit and use your cell phone there. Screw the cruise line when it comes to cell service.

zachary15958
yes he/she will o.O unless if you 2 call each other than the person who called will get charged only

oh no you di'int
possibly
