Most of the mass market lines offer a similar cruise experience. There are a few differences but over all, the experience will be similar. NCL offers freestyle dining where you eat dinner when and where you want instead of assigned seating. They also let you stay in your cabin during debarkation which really does make life easier. Princess also has something similar to free style dining. CCL tends to have larger statemooms then most other cruise lines. They also however have a few annoying things like singing and dancing waiters etc. Hal tends to have more seniors than most other lines so it may not be the top choice for younger people . families. RCCL is pretty good all around, however I wasn't too happy with the food. Bottom line, when I choose a cruise, I base it more on what ship rather than what company. I also look at price and the schedule. Check out cruisecritic.com |

I've been on two lines and 4 ships. My favorite is Royal Caribbean. As far as valus goes. I am booked on a cruise leaving from Port Liberty (NJ) for 9 nights to St Thomas, St Maatren, San Juan and Labadee on a balcony for just $1149 pp.
This works out to be just under $130 per night - Including food and entertainment.
If one goes for an inside cabin, the cost is much less. The differnet cabin types have no effect on service or meals, until you get to the really high price cabin.
So - Bottom line - The best value for the money on just about any cruise line is an inside cabin. But shop around and you may find the best deals - independent of cruise line. |

We have been on a few and met others who have used different cruise lines also.
The majority like Royal Caribbean.
The food and service is quite a bit better.
Their web site is very easy to use and when you decide give them a call and talk to them directly. Easy as that.
If this is your first, a travel agent may be better but doing it yourself is cheaper. |

Norwegian Cruise Line. I went to Alaska on a 7-day cruise for $850 and you get free food anytime of the day whenever you want it, free evening shows in the theater, and the ships are really nice. I had the cheapest room and it had real wood walls and the beds are so comfortable. They really put you up nicely for as little as you pay. |

Depends greatly on your style and interests, and also the length and destination of your cruise.
I've been on several cruises and just finished some intense research for a group trip. Personally I recommend Royal Caribbean as the best value for the money. It's comparable or sometimes even cheaper than Carnival for short cruises, and offers classier atmosphere and a higher quality of service. |

Depends on how much money you are willing to spend. If you want cheap...Carnival and NCL. If you want middle Princess, HAL, Celebrity. If you want high end Oceania, Cunard. |

Celebrity. Their ships are very nice and they are not too expensive. |

Lots of factors invovled - when do you want to go, where, how long, how many people in the cabin. All will be important factors in determining the right answer for this question.
Because you're questions is a bit vague, you will get answers from people recommending cruise lines they've been on and many have only traveled on one line.
Your best bet is to contact a travel agent who can review many different cruise lines, dates, etc. and match that with what you are looking to get out of your cruise.
Best of luck! |
