What is the best cruise line with not much crowd? |
I would like a cruise line that has very good service and etc. But my family does not like much crowd. So I was wondering if there are any fun and enjoyable cruises that aren't crowded. And that is clean. Please answer. Thank You! |

There are some cruise lines that have smaller ships, less passengers and more space per passenger than the major cruise lines. The downside to this exclusivity is the price, a cruise can cost around 4 times per person more than the major lines.
Here's a link to the "luxury" lines with reviews of ships, amenities and what you get for your cash.

My experience would be to go with Royal Carribbean. That being said, if you go to a real popular destination then there is no getting around a crowd. |

They these ships are built today none are very crowded. Even though they may be carrying 4000 people (passengers and crew) they are built in a way that most of the guests are spread out. The newer ships typically have a dozen or so bars/lounges, multiple pools and several different eateries.
The only time I really encounter crowds are at the entrance to the main dining rooms around dinnertime as well as at the pool during sea days.
If you are still interested in a particular line, your best bet is to go for one of the premium cruiselines like seabourne or crystal cruises. These ships are smaller but carry very few passengers in comparison to the mainstream lines. If they are out of your budget you should check out Celebrity or Holland America.
As an aside Carnival is probably the worst when it comes to crowds |

well I have been looking at cruises and yes not big crowded ships so I checked out the Rhine and continental cruises and they look great?http://www.oceanvillageholidays.co.uk/email/website/landing/google/european.htm?utm_source=Yahoo&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=lpeurope&utm_term=cruises%20europe&utm_campaign=World%2BRegions&OVRAW=paddle%20steamer%20Cruises%20Europe&OVKEY=cruises%20europe&OVMTC=advanced&OVADID=9233387031&OVKWID=76812567531 |

What I suggest that you do is look for a good deal on one of the luxury cruise lines like Crystal. The luxury lines cost more but they also have much smaller ships and therefore fewer people. Their ships typically hold about 700 passengers vs 2500 and up on the other medium priced cruise lines. The other benefit of the luxury lines is they have more amenities like all balcony cabins and/or wine included with dinner each day, and the biggest benefit is a higher level of personal service.
The luxury cruise lines are:
REGENT SEVEN SEAS:

RADISSON:

SILVER SEAS:

CRYSTAL:

AZAMARA:

Now I have cruised to just about everywhere, including the Mediterranean and South America and I can tell you from experience that all cruise ships are generally full, regardless of where they go and what time of year. I have cruise about every month of the year, including December and January and the ships are FULL even then. So you cannot avoid crowd by thinking of going a certain month of the year.
So my advice is go on the luxury lines and you will get the higher quality service and smaller crowds that you want. |

I have been on 23 cruises on ships that with crew have over 3,000 people on board. However I have always been able to find space where I was not crowded. Alot will depend on when and where you go. This will also factor into whether it is a party crowd or not. If you go in May then kids are still in school. Also I like Alaska and one reason is the people who go there are there for the amazing scenery, wildlife and the cruise experience. Not to say other places are not the same. But, every cruise line wants their ship to be sold out. Not only the cruise line makes money but, part of the crews pay depends on it.
So I would suggest that you figure out where you want to go and then either go at the start or end of the season.
Enjoy. |

If your trying to tell us that you don't like " people watching " or meeting friendly people, and joining a crowd of people for a great meal, and can't enjoy watching people having a lot of good clean fun, then maybe cruising isn't for you... |

Vanita,
I have taken two cruises on Holland America and enjoyed both of them. My wife and I do not like crowds, either. They have a separate part of the ships for children and staff to ensure their good time, too. There were over 100 kids on board our last cruise, and we never saw them.
Give Holland America a try. I am certain that you will enjoy yourselves.
Regards,

Normally the Cruise lines wantt crowd cause it's their business so...if there is one not crowdd it's because it's not good. Or...you choose some alternative cruise...like going to Anctartica for example...Expensive, beautiful and not crowded. |
