What is the best cruise ship for my family?

A mom(in her 40's)
a Dad(in his 50's)
a daughter(13)
and a son(14-almost 15)

we're trying to find a cruise to go on next spring break(we will be these ages during the cruise, not right now, except the mom and dad)and we can't figure out which cruise to go on. Probably a 7-8 day cruise, that isn't small!!!

I've been on the Disney Cruise 4 times and its really the best!
And even though your kids are in their teens they will have sooooooo much fun!
Disney Cruise is not just for little kiddies its for teens and adults....(PS the dining is really elegant and nice, YOU DONT DINE WITH MICKEY!) My 17 and 14 yr old boy cousins are not big disney fans and they loved it and want to go again and again!

To list a few GREAT things:
TEENS- teen clubs and cafe area, arcades, basketball courts, movie theater(they show newer movies too), show theater(the shows do have teen and adult humor), all you can eat pizza, hambugers, chicken tenders, icecream on the top deck by the pools, exploring the ship, THEN a teen beach and recreation area on Disneys private island Castaway Cay!

ADULTS-All adult pool and bar area, many night clubs and bars, Martini Wine and Beer tastings, Spa and exersize area, so many great activities! AND on Disneys private island ALL ADULT BEACH AREA where there are ZERO kids and they serve the best MahiMahi and drinks, you really feel like your in paradise.

Disney has the best service and rooms are 15%-20% bigger than regular cruise liners room, so even if you get the smallest room they dont look like prison cells....LOL!

GOOD LUCK! and heres a website that all the regular disney cruisers go http://www.disneycruiser.info/dclindex.htm
they have some secret CAT rooms you could ask for ;)

Our family cruises frequently.

Done Disney, Royal Caribbean, Carnival....for this age group of people, would recommend Carnival.

Disney is OK for younger kids but teens have a better experience on Carnival.

If you want a larger ship, chose a Conquest class ship (Conquest, Glory, Valor and Liberty) or just smaller Triumph and Victory. Ring Carival and request the Cruise Vacations booklet for an overview of all of their ships and itineries.

**Remember, passport requirements take affect in Jan. 2008! If you plan to cruise in 2008, apply for your passports now! There is more than a 4 month backlog.

To give the teens freedom and the parents piece of mind, get a set of those 2-way radios to keep in touch on board ship.

Spring Break is high season, so expect to pay a little more for the cruise as well as be on a fully-booked ship.

You can compare prices and ships at www.vacationstogo.com

They main 3 choices I would recommend would be Carinval, Royal Caribbean or Disney. Carnival is going to be the lowest price out of those. Royal Caribbean is going to have the most on-board "sports" type activites (rock climbing wall, putt-putt golf, ice skating) All 3 have teen clubs. I do not think the kids would not have a good time on any of these cruises. If you would like more information about which cruise to take your family on please give me a call 888-556-2974. The best time to book for next Sping in NOW!

If you want the best value, talk to an unbiased cruise agent. They are a wealth of information for first time cruisers. Carnival will probably come in less expensive (although their cabins are normally larger than other lines). Royal Caribbean is great for families also. Contrary to what folks may believe, a cruise agent has access to better pricing and goodies over the internet. You do not pay any more by using a professional cruise agent. Make sure you are on a newer ship, where you will have better amenities for your family. Disney is a wonderful experience, but more expensive. Keep in mind, you do get what you pay for in this industry.

We went on a Carnival Cruise and it was wonderful. The only difference is I was 21 and my sister 18. They had a Teen Club and other teen things while there and I think that they would enjoy it better than dinning with Mickey because they are a little old for that trust me! It will be great for the teens and for the big kids!

WhoKnewItForReal???
Disney Cruise Line! It is really family friendly and they have GREAT teen programs. They also have some adult only areas too. It is fun, all inclusive, and safe!

I would go with Disney.. They woudld fit all the needs of your group.. But are extremely expensive.. If you want something that is reasonable and good for the family. I would go with one of the newer Carnival Ships..
