I've been to Cozumel MANY times. If you are a scuba diver -- you HAVE to dive there. Otherwise you can go the national park -- beautiful -- or shopping and dinning on the strip -- or just hang out on one of the beaches -- Mr Sancho's is excellent

we did the horseback riding through the mayan ruins and had a great time! The guides were so much fun we wound up meeting them @ Carlos and Charlie's for a drink afterwards

We rented a jeep and drove to a beach with hammocks. Super cheap (when divided by four) and super fun.

When we went, I found an internet deal that allowed for a day at the beach, lunch, and all you can drink while there. It was at San Francisco Beach, and I believe it was $40 per person. If you do a google search for Cozumel Excursions, you should find it pretty easy. One thing to keep in mind though, since it is not a cruise sponsored excursion, allow yourself plenty of time to get back. It was a great day, and we had a drunken blast.
