I would say RCCI.com , Princess.com, or NCL.com
have 3 day cruises from L.A. to Mexico.
those are a good long weekend break. If you wanted to go on a 3 day cruise on the west coast (north) there is 3 day transitioning cruise (L.A, to Vancouver, B.C. Of course then you would have a flight home from Vancouver to L.A.
good luck, I would also get a good travel agent and have them help you look at your options. Good luck to you.

I would definitely recommend a three- or four-night Baja Mexico cruise on Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas.

The three-night spends a day in Ensenada and a day at sea. The four-night spends a day in San Diego, a day in Avalon on Catalina Island, and a day in Ensenada.

I would recommend the four-night, but it depends on your schedule. The three-night leaves on Friday and returns on Monday, while the four-night leaves on Monday and returns on Friday.

One of my favorite out of LA is the Mexican Riviera. There is usually 3 stops, and it's alot of fun. Your Alaska cruise going the opposite direction is good, but definitely more expensive. You can also get a 3-4 night cruise out of LA to Mexico that's also alot of fun. I've done that one too. Any cruise is fun - ENJOY!

You need to book way in advance or at the very last minute to get the cheapest deal. The cruise line's website will give you the cheapest deal available, all those travel websites cannot get you a cheaper rate, trust me, I checked them all.

The very cheapest is usually a three or four day cruise down Baja Mexico. Surprisingly, Royal Caribbean is often cheaper than Carnival, or at least the same price.

For example, we took a cruise in February: we booked a year in advance for a 4-day cruise out of San Pedro to Ensenda. Not including airfare, it was only $279 for an interior room in the lowest part of the ship.

The least expensive cruises out of Los Angeles are the three and four night cruises on Carnival and Royal Caribbean (RCI).

The three night cruises leave on Friday and return on Monday. The two ships (the Carnival Paradise and the RCI Monarch of the Seas) spend one day in Ensenada and one day at sea.

The four night cruises leave on Monday and return on Friday. The same two ships spend one day in Ensenada, one day at Catalina Island and Carnival also spends one day at sea while RCI spends one day in San Diego.

Next are the Mexican Riviera cruises that Carnival, RCI, Princess and NCL offer. NCL offers an eight night cruise that goes to Acapulco, Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. The other three offer one week cruises that to go Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo.

The three and four night cruises cost less than the one week cruises. However, a one week cruise during the off season will not be that much more than a three or four night cruise during prime time.

check vacationstogo.com. You can do a custom search and put in your port, price or any other variable you wish. Note that the same cruise may go up or down if you go earlier or later.
