What is the best place on the internet to find the best deals for cruises?

There is no real place to get "good cruise deals". I work in a sales department of a cruise line. If you go direct you get the regular fare. Travel agents get group fares for holding rooms in advance sometimes and they may cut their commission a little to get you to book with them. All in all there is no realy big difference unless you get a group of 5 cabins or more to get a group special directly with the cruise line.

The best site for traveling in general is www.expedia.com
It's easy to book vacations there, and they seem to have better deals and options than other sites I've researched, such as Orbitz. We've used Expedia for flights alone and vacation packages over the years. I signed up at Carnival's website to get more information about their cruises, and they called us the next day with a special offer to the western Caribbean, which saved us at least $300 (probably more) when comparing the prices to other travel sites.

try cruise 411.com. i have found that you just need to shop around and sometimes you run up on a deal on one website that the others don't have. you just have to keep checking.

I found visiting the cruise site itself is the best route. Expedia and travelocity all add booking fees to your reservation.Also if you call lets say Carnival, they offer discounts and specials that arnt available on line. I'm going on my first cruise Thursday and am very satisfied with the price that I was given. I used Expedia to look up a hotel room in Chicago but again when I called them directly the rate was $20. cheaper. Just use on line sites for reference and then pick up the phone and compare.

I find that my site is very competitive with anything else on the internet. Check it out it's the same booking engine as travelocity. Go to the link that says book travel. The first page you go to at my site is if you would want to be a travel agent like I am. Big discounts and I write all my travel expenses off of my taxes.
