What is the best way to search for a cruise package?

I go to a travel agent, tell them the dates I want to go and let them look. I then look at the cruise line sites for the cruises the TA found for me to check the prices against the TA's. I also search the web to see if I can do any better. 9 times out of 10 the best price is usually the TA or the cruise line.
I usually end up booking with the TA because they throw in an extra, or they price match the best price you can find.
I think it is much simpler booking with a with a TA because if you have any problem or enquiries, the TA will do all the work for you. Sometimes it is very difficult and frustrating getting a response from the cruise line or website operator and any money you have saved by booking with them soon evaporates with the cost of long and fruitless phone calls.

I usually go to the web sites of the cruise like royal carribean.com holland cruise.com carnival.com celebrity.com you can sign up for specials on their site. Try to always negociate with them for a free upgrade on rooms ect? have fun good luck. or try expedia or tavelocity.com Travelocity isnt the best. travel zoo.com has short notice deals..

I would check with a travel agent. Yes, I am one, but I also know we get given special rates that are not available to others on cruises. These are not published fares, they are blocked out spaces. They can even beat the prices of your biggest online agencies. Definately talk to your travel agent, or contact me if you would like more info. They will also make sure you have the best way of getting to the pier etc also.

I always use my travel agent's site- I find the best package deal pricing here. If you don't find what you're looking for (like if you need hotel, airfare, etc) give me a shout and I'll give you her # directly because she can negotiate pricing differently than what's posted on the website if you get a whole package deal instead of just the cruise.
