What is the dress for regular dinners on carnival? |
I know the captain's is the formal one where men wear a suit or tux. But as for the others, I'm at a loss on what exactly to pack... would you say that a long sleeved button up shirt and slack are too much?

the rule is no shorts or flip flops .. i have worn Levis and a sport shirt or slacks and a dress shirt. Carnival is really lax on there "rules" so mostly anything is OK. my father in law did wear shorts once but no one said anything |

I went on a carnival cruise not to long ago and most people just wore jeans from what i can remember. but i dont think that nice pants and a button up shirt is to much. |

TM BRIAN. Going on a cruise is a great way to relax and also dress up as much or as little as you want. So you asking the question, makes me think you might be a nice dresser and you'll feel better when you dress nicely. So wear something smart, DON"T wear jeans to dinner or a T shirt. The way people dress on a cruise sets the pace for the whole cruise.Who wants to go to a nice restaurant dressed like you are going to a ball game. wear a shirt and tie and look your best. I personally would prefer if ALL men dressed up more often. Slobs and people who don't care wear sloppy clothing to dinner.. Lunch is different, you can wear shorts or jeans, and look fine, or if you want to, wear nice slacks and a shirt for lunch too wear . smart dressed men stand out in the world. go for it. show them how it's done |
