What is the name of the condition that gives some people the overwhelming urge to jump from a ship into sea?

after speaking with other cruise passengers, it would appear that many people feel the urge to jump from the ship into a deep and dangerous sea whenever they look straight down from the ship (especially at night)

You know, that's so odd you would ask that. On my last cruise, I recall looking off the balcony to the water below and this voice in my head said, "you could jump in if you wanted to; no one would find you". Isn't that weird! That night at dinner I was talking to one the ship's engineers. A week or so earlier a crewmember had jumped into the ocean off one of their other ships. I told him what had happened to me in my cabin. He said that he's had that thought too...and that it happens more often than you would think.

I don't know what you call it....but it sure seems to be going around.
