What about Holland America?

Holland America I think it more generated towards the older crowds like grandparents, and no so much kids and younger people, and the same with Princess, yes you have people of all ages on the ship and everything but its just not what you would expect, and Celbrity and Royal Caribbean are the best cruise lines ever as the service food and entertainment are wonderful, with gracious staff and services, and excrusions and intineraries, long with prices, and with lots of on board activites, and NCL is liked by people because of their freestyle cruising as you dont ahve to dress as formal as you would in the main dining room but you can make great friends at your dining table and meet your waiters and get to know them one on one and its so hard to leave everything on board after the cruise, and then Carnival is a favorite for first timers as the price is generally cheaper and then its generated towards the younger crowds and familes with Kids, and their are alot of on board activities to do and its just all over fun, and the Disney is more exspensive but its a more family generated type ship, and their tends to be younger kids on their but their are people of all ages. Hope the helps.

Depends on the personality of the cruisers.

If you have young children (less than 10 or 11), then consider Disney. The Disney line will keep your little people entertained while you enjoy some peace and quite. However, understand that the Disney cruise is not an adult cruise that accommodates children. It is a children's cruise that accommodates adults.

If you have young people, children or large groups, Carnival is a good choice. Not too formal, fun stuff to do and economical. We took 20 people on the Ecstasy last year and we are taking 15 people on the Conquest for Spring Break. Daughter loves the 24-hour pizzeria.

The Royal Caribbean is more upscale than the Carnival line. I did not enjoy the RC as much as the Carnival cruises we have been on. However, the food and service was better on the RC.

If you are a first-time cruiser, don't get caught up in paying for a higher level cabin. You only shower, change clothes and sleep in the cabin. Use you vacation money on other fun stuff like excursions.
