Princess has lots to do and enjoy and the food is excellent.

I absolutely LOVE Disney cruises. We have 4 young children, and their kids programs are outstanding. The rooms on the ship are much larger than other ships we've been on, and also, it really is family-oriented, so you won't see drunk people everywhere, like we did on Carnival.

I think it really depends what you are looking for. But some of my favorites are Disney, Celebrity, Princess, Cunard, etc. All are great ships, wonderful staff that really treats you great, goes above and beyond for just about everything, great food, clean, etc.

I like most lines, the only line I really am not fond of is Carnival. They used to be a little better, with service and food, things like that, but they haven't been as good recently. It is the least expensive line, but it just really isn't what I think of when I cruise.

Royal Caribbean is also good, if you are on a budget. They have some really great ships, Freedom of the Seas is my favorite, but even their older ships are still great.

Each line has its good and bad points, I think it really depends on who will be going, what they want to do, how much you want to spend, where you want to go, etc.

For several reasons, my favorite cruise line is Celebrity Cruises. First of all the ships are not overly humongous. Many cruise lines have over-sized ships that are comparative to a floating city. Personal service is much improved when you cruise on a more moderate sized vessel. I also was very pleased with the clean, classy, and modern interior design used throughout the Celebrity ship. Also, some of the Celebrity cruises are now scheduling Cirque du Soleil shows to be performed on some of their cruises. Great service, great food, great cruise.

P.S. Celebrity Cruises is good for a nice easy going and relaxing cruise. If you are looking for at party ship, Carnival would probably be your best bet.

I personally favor Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). I like the concept of Freestyle Cruising. It makes your vacation go by a lot slower and makes it more enjoyable, too. Plus, their food is really good, they have excellent service, you have a large variety of cruise destinations to choose from, and the ships are very nicely built all for a great price. There is not one single complaint I have about NCL.

I like Celebrity and Princess. They are good for people my age (30's). They are decently priced and offer a lot of fun activities on the ship.

I have been on NCL, Princess, Royal CAribbean and Celebrity and my favorite is Royal Caribbean. Specifically I love the RC ships, Jewel of the Seas and Brillance of the Seas. These ships are identical, except for the color scheme. We cruised the Mediterranian on the Brillance and Canada/New England on the Jewel. I like the layout of the ship with three elevator/stairway bays. I like their casual dining in their Windjammer Cafe and the fact that you can eat outside on the back of the ship. I love their health club which has great equipment and you can exercise on a treadmill or bike while watching where you are going through the front window. I love their balcony cabins which have new pillowtop bed, vs the old style framed bunk beds. I love the flat screen HDTV and the new design of the bathroom with sliding shower doors. I like the Solarium area which is a quiet enclosed area where you can sit in comfort any time of day or night; its adults only too. The food and staff on the cruises I have been on have been fantastic.

My first five or six cruises were on NCL. But after they started the freestyle cruises I stopped going on their ships. I prefer the traditional dining where you meet and get to know your waiter and he/she gets to know what you want each day. I feel better about leaving gratuities for waiters whom I know. I have been on at least 3 Princess ships and I love their decor and layout. But I still prefer RC and their traditional dining to the "personal choice" dining on Princess. I did find that the service on the Celebrity ship was a cut above the others. But the RC ships are for me THE BEST. Plus as a memebr of their Crown and Anchor Society (frequent cruiser club) I get a big discount on cruises with them.

I've only been on Carnival and Princess so far, and Carnival was the better of the two, for a couple of main reasons.
First, the food and availability of food was MUCH better. There was an all- night grill that served NY strip steaks. On princess all you could get late at night was cold pizza, and it wasn't that good. The formal dinners were much better as well. On Princess, EVERYTHING tasted like oregano and thyme. Beef, pork, chicken- it didn't matter- all the food tasted the same.
Second, Carnival seemed to have more going on during the days at sea, or at least made it more known that there was much to do on the ship. Princess seemed to care less whether or not you had a good time on your cruise.
I plan to try Royal Caribbean next time unless Carnival has some good deals going.

RzrLens
Carnival. They are reasonably priced, have great activities that include all of the passengers (some of them are hilarious!), the food is great, and the rooms are big.

copestir
Princess. It is very nice the price is right and it is a little quieter than Carnival. I also found the food a little better than Holland America

Royal Caribbean is my favorite to sail on and sell. The have in my humble opinion, put out the best product for the mass market. Their pricing is competitive, they have good ships with good itineraries. They are always trying to do something cutting edge, such as the wave runners. They have good children's programs and their dining choices are good.

My two cents.
