depends what country you are from if you have an american lpr visa you have to show that and passport of your country.canadians passport and birth certificate american citizens just a passport and a driver's license.also a health insurance card is strongly recommended |

As of June 2009. EVERYONE from any country needs a Passport to leave your home country for foreign ports.
You MUST have passports. Apply soon. Summer time gets to be a heavy passport season. |

When i went on Carnival departing from miami to the bahamas I brought my passport and drivers license and all cruise documents. Check the website to be sure what you need to bring. |

Before June 1, you need a photo I.D. and your birth certificate. After June 1, you need a passport unless the cruise is a "loop" cruise. Then you still may use your photo I.D. and birth certificate. if you have a passport...you never need any other I.D. with it. Loop cruises that begin and end in the same U.S. city, never require passports. See 1st site below to read the law. See 2nd site for info on "loop" crises. Some cruise lines WANT all passengers to have passports, but it is not the law. You should talk to the cruise line to be sure of what THEY ask for. |

Get a passport. It shows that you are a citizen of your country, and no birth certificate is necessary. If you plan on renting a car, you will need a drivers license. You will also need a credit card.

My friend and her husband tried to go on a cruise and they both had passports and she had her certified birth certificate and his wasnt certified and he was not allowed to board the ship. So they had to turn around and go home. They also said a few people had to be turned away b/c of that so to be on the safe side I would triple check with who ever is booking your cruise and also call the cruise line. My friend and her husband was soooo upset, she cried almost all the way back home. So if I were you I would make for sure if you need a birth certificate. |

You will need a passport, driver's license (if you can drive), a fun pass which you register for once you book your cruise online, and any other id's that you think you might need. The passport and the fun pass are really the only things that are absolutely necessary!! Have fun =] |
